💧 2026 Water & Sewer Rates – Village of Swanton 💧

We want to take a moment to provide clarity regarding the 2026 Water and Sewer rates for Village of Swanton residents and business owners.

✔️ Annual Rate Plan (Adopted in 2017)The Village has followed a long-term, planned annual rate adjustment for water and sewer services since 2017. These incremental adjustments were put in place to ensure the systems remain financially sustainable and able to support operations, maintenance, and future infrastructure needs.

✔️ RCAP Study (Completed in 2024)In 2024, the Village completed a RCAP (Rural Community Assistance Program) rate study, which reviewed the financial health and operational needs of both the Water and Sewer systems. This study confirmed the importance of continuing the existing rate structure to support system operations and long-term stability.

✔️ Recent Council Action – Fund Reallocation (Not a Rate Increase)Council recently approved a reallocation of how collected funds are split between Water and Sewer.🔹 This action did NOT create an additional rate increase🔹 It simply ensures that funds already being collected are properly balanced to support Water and Sewer plant operations independently and responsibly.
