Government aggregation allows residents to leverage group buying power, often securing lower rates for electric and natural gas generation compared to individual pricing.

In the Village of Swanton, residents voted to participate in an "OPT-OUT" government aggregation agreement for electricity. This means all residents are automatically enrolled, but each individual has the option to opt out if they prefer a different provider or plan.
