As construction season approaches, we want to keep residents informed on upcoming roadway improvements and what traffic impacts to expect.

🛣️ Hallett Avenue Phase B

Contractor mobilization is expected to begin June 2nd.

Work will begin in the southbound lane first, then shift to the northbound lane as the project progresses. Traffic will be reduced to one lane at a time, with access maintained during most of construction.

⚠️ There will be a temporary full closure of Hallett Avenue and the overpass later in the project when crews repair the transition area where the pavement meets the concrete bridge deck on the south side of the overpass. More details on closure timing will be shared once confirmed.

Expected substantial completion is mid-August, with final completion anticipated by late August.

🚧 Crestwood Project

This project is expected to begin in early July.

Crews will start with the waterline extension work before moving into roadway resurfacing.

Traffic will also be maintained to one lane at a time during construction.

We are coordinating both projects carefully to avoid a situation where the Tree Streets neighborhood would be inaccessible from both Crestwood and Hallett at the same time.

🚦 Additional Priority Projects

Also still at the forefront this year are additional traffic and roadway improvements, including:

• Installation of protected left-turn signals at key intersections

Re-paving and re-striping of the intersection at Main Street and Airport Highway

These improvements remain priorities as we continue working to improve traffic flow, safety, and roadway conditions throughout the Village.

💙 Thank You for Your Patience

We understand construction can be inconvenient, but these projects are important investments into Swanton’s infrastructure and long-term roadway improvements.

We will continue providing updates as schedules are finalized and work begins. #VillageOfSwanton
