With the recent rainfall, we are aware of areas within the Village experiencing standing water, drainage concerns, and water backing up. Our Public Service Department has been actively monitoring affected areas and doing everything possible to help manage the situation. We are also currently exploring outside resources and obtaining estimates from companies that can assist with clearing potential log jams and debris within Ai Creek. Our hope is that improving water flow through the creek system will help with drainage throughout portions of the Village.
🌳 Brush Pickup Has Begun 🌳This is a reminder that Village brush pickup is intended for small limbs, branches, and routine yard trimmings only. It is not for full tree removal, tree clearing, or large-scale cuttings. Brush Pick-Up is the 2nd Monday/Week of the month from now thru October. For larger amounts of brush, Village residents may obtain a free annual permit to dispose of brush at Lehman Brothers on County Road 5-2.
Bulk Drop-Off Coming Soon Our upcoming bulk drop-off event is for Village residents only. A list of accepted and prohibited items can be found on the Village website or our Facebook page. Date is set for Saturday, May 16, 2026.
📺 Improving Communication & Access 📺We are also looking into additional ways to keep residents informed. One option being explored is linking our live streams to YouTube for easier access to Council meetings, Planning Commission meetings, and other public meetings.
🌷 Spring Beautification 🌷We will also be reaching out to Foertmeyer regarding this year’s flower bed planning and seasonal beautification efforts.
Thank you for your patience, support, and continued pride in our community as we work through spring weather and prepare for the busy season ahead. 💙 #VillageOfSwanton
