WASTE REMOVAL

Brush Pick-Up
To ensure efficient brush pick-up, please have brush to the curb or road by 7:00 a.m. on the 2nd Monday of each month from April through October. Place all limbs with the cut end facing the street. Note that contractors hired for tree trimming or landscaping are responsible for removing any generated tree limbs, trunks, and logs from your property. The Village of Swanton’s brush pick-up service is intended for fallen tree limbs only, not for lot clearing or tree removal.

Leaf Pick-Up
Leaf pick-up is managed by Lammon Brothers, a contracted third party, and occurs from late October to first week in December depending on the weather. The schedule is dependent on weather conditions and the timing of leaf fall. For specific dates, please contact the Administration Office at 419.826.9515.

 

Refuse & Recycling
The Village of Swanton does not directly handle refuse and recycling services. We have negotiated discounted rates with Klumm Brothers Waste Solutions. Each resident must set up their own account by calling Klumm Brothers Waste Solutions at 419.570.6622 and mentioning that they are a Village of Swanton resident.

Picked up every Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday).

Recycling

• Picked up bi-weekly. Refer to the schedule for details.

• Place refuse and recycling at the curbside or alley no earlier than 8:00 p.m. the day before collection.

• Residents with an active account are eligible for a quarterly bulk pick-up. Contact Klumm Brothers Waste Solutions for eligibility and restrictions.

Bulk Drop-Off Days

We offer a bulk drop off day to Village Residents ONLY. Primarily in the springtime and typically occurs on a Saturday in May from 8:00am to 2:00pm. This day is announced through the Village Voice Newsletter & Social Media.
