Active Transportation Planning is planning, designing, constructing and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient roadway network for users of all ages and abilities mainly focusing on walking or biking.
Active Transportation Planning helps plan a network that provides connectivity, improves safety, supports consistent project implementation, and increases awareness.
The Village of Swanton is considering embarking on creating an official Active Transportation Plan to allow for better planning of said networks (espeically towards Oak Openings), increased awareness, and potential funding opportunities.
VIllage Council kindly requests your participation in this survey to garner information to help aid in their decision.

I think initiatives like the Active Transportation Plan Interest Survey are incredibly valuable for shaping the future of our communities. Encouraging people to share their input helps ensure that transportation planning reflects what residents truly need and want. If more people participate, we can all benefit from safer, more accessible options for walking, biking, and public transit. I would definitely encourage others to take a look at this survey and share their thoughts. It’s a simple but important way to have a voice in local planning. Looking forward to seeing the positive changes this could bring!
I think this survey is a great way to gather community feedback on transportation needs. Personally, I often struggle to find convenient and affordable transportation to miami cruise port from fort lauderdale, especially when traveling with family. Improving these services would make a huge difference for many people like me who rely on smooth transit options. It’s encouraging to see local planners actively seeking input to create better travel solutions. I hope the results lead to real improvements that make getting around easier for everyone in the area.
